What is a virtual challenge and how does it work?
You'll have the entire month of February and March to run or walk the distance of the virtual course you select, 58 or 175 miles. Track your mileage through our event website as you go, and once you've reached your distance, you’ve conquered the Maui Island Challenge! Tracking information will be released in January prior to the event start date.
When does the challenge take place?
From February 1, 2021 to March 31, 2021
When is the deadline to register?
March 15, 2021. After that registration is closed.
Are there age restrictions to participate?
No, there are no age restrictions to participate.
Can I register if I don't live in the United States?
Yes you can.
What’s included in the registration fee?
All participants will receive:
Official entry to the 2021 Maui Island Challenge
Short-sleeve, gender-specific, Dri Tech event shirt
Maui Island Challenge Finisher’s Medal
Digital Finisher Certificate with your name and distance on it when you finish your miles
Free shipping
Digital Maui Island Challenge bib and badge
The 175 Mile runners will receive a runners hat for completing the longest distance
Will I need to submit my results in order to get my medal?
Yes, you will need to submit your results as you run to show that you’ve completed the challenge.
How do I join or create my own Team for the Challenge?
After selecting "Register" from the race website, complete the registration information. At the bottom of the form, you'll see a section asking if you'd like to join or create a team. Select, "Yes" and press the "Continue" button.
